Biography
Hank Jibaja has spent his career challenging conventional thinking in healthcare while building the operational systems required to turn new ideas into real-world solutions.
Over more than two decades in pharmaceuticals, healthcare technology, and regulated medical manufacturing, Hank has helped scale organizations delivering critical therapies at national scale. Most notably, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Nephron Pharmaceuticals , helping lead the company from early-stage startup through rapid expansion into one of the largest sterile pharmaceutical manufacturers in the United States. During his tenure through June 2021, Nephron scaled operations capable of supplying hundreds of millions of sterile medication doses annually to hospitals and healthcare systems across the country, while navigating the rigorous regulatory and manufacturing standards required for injectable pharmaceuticals.
Following his work at Nephron, Hank founded Superior PostOp , where he developed an opioid-free postoperative pain management model using continuous regional anesthesia. The approach challenged long-standing assumptions about pain care and required direct engagement with state Boards of Pharmacy, insurers, and regulators to establish new reimbursement pathways. The result was a scalable recovery model designed to reduce reliance on opioid medications while improving patient outcomes.
At VoltaWell , Hank is focused on a similar question: how do we actually know if we are hydrated? Traditional advice assumes hydration is solved by simply drinking more water, yet many people continue to experience symptoms of cellular dehydration without realizing it. As GLP-1 therapies become widely used, dehydration and electrolyte imbalance have emerged as common side effects. VoltaWell’s approach, combining advanced electrolyte formulations with direct measurement of intracellular hydration through impedance technology, aims to bring clarity to a problem most people never realized could be measured.
For Hank, VoltaWell represents the type of work he has pursued throughout his career: challenging assumptions in healthcare and building practical systems that improve how people recover, perform, and feel.
